History of The
Traditionals Car Club
In the Fall of 2005, a yahoo group
called mnratrods was put online by Scott Halverson. The
Traditionals Car Club was created by Scott and a few of the original
members of that yahoo group who shared the same interests
in the traditional hotrod building styles used by those who
pioneered hotrodding.
In late Spring of 2006 we began building an online
community forum then known as Minnesota Rat Rods. That
forum was a free internet forum that was heavily advertising
based, but it was well accepted by local builders. After a few
months we decided to take things another step forward and a
domain name and hosting was purchased. We built our own
forum, which went live in late August of 2006. We were
advertisment free! We named that forum "Traditional Hotrod
Enthusiasts' Cooperative (T.H.E. CO-OP). By December
2006 we had many registered users. T.H.E. CO-OP was a fully open to the public forum.
In October, 2007, T.H.E. CO-OP became the sole ownership of
a former club member. Under it's new ownership, the forum
name changed to simply "Traditional Hot Rod Enthusiasts'
Forum". That forum has since gone offline.
The Traditionals Car Club members registered a new url, www.traditionalscarclub.com, and we put our club website and
discussion forum online. Our current club member's forum is a private, by invitation only
venue where we discuss club business, share hot rod building
experiences and chat with invited friends. If you desire
information about how you can become a guest user in our forum, contact:
info(at)traditionalscarclub.com
The Traditionals Car Club currently
consists of 15 members.
